$ 425.00
10 inch Dolly Varden Trout glimpsing a snagged fly.  DOLLY HAS BEEN SOLD..!!

Dolly, a Varden by any other name …

The latest creation to appear from the creative WileyTrout zone, is a beauty called ‘Dolly’.  She is, by all standards, a rare and pleasant thing-of-beauty to behold. She is a Dolly Varden.  Sleek and colorful, she has eye catching lily-white fin tips; native of her species known as the Char.

She resembles the other beauty of her kin, the eye catching, heart pounding Brook Trout.  But, Dolly feeds in a bigger pool and comes from stock that produce size as well as beauty. For the Dolly Varden can grow to such an alarming size, that mere mortal fishermen swoon at the pulsation of this lady – or her kin – upon their teasing lines of petrochemical persuasion and steel.

‘Tis with great glee we announce that Dolly has already been taken.

She quickly stole a heart and is now being prepared to be whisked off to a new home.

Yes, her stay was brief, but her memory will linger with the fragrance of her beauty, for a long, long time.  Maybe one day soon, the creator Wiley will deem there be another .. maybe a Dallas .. in the line of Varden.  We will have to wait and see.

Farewell, Dolly.  You gave us great palpitation while you were here. We shall hold your image in great admiration.  We look forward to hearing from your new partner in visual pleasure, as to how the union is holding.  Our best on your new journey.

#1530

This little beauty is just waiting to jump into YOUR pool. Order it up now from the WileyTrout Store. Enjoy!

#1530,   Just finished this little 8 inch Brookie today. It’s a stylized piece created entirely from California Buckeye Burl. This beautiful wood grows only on the western slope of the Sierra mountains at altitude above 2,000 feet. When finished out it has the appearance of river stone. My most popular works are from this wood. My supply is limited and I hope it lasts at least  as long as I do.
